NBG Cap-Type Slip Ring Installation Specifications

  This series of slip rings features an integrated flange on the stator side, allowing direct mounting onto the application or bracket to stabilize the stator.

  The rotor must be mounted on the application's central shaft to ensure concentric drive. Drive via rotor leads is not recommended.

  Use screw washers during installation as shown below to prevent excessive tightening of flanges and screws.

  The slip ring design cannot support the weight of connected equipment. Rotating equipment must be secured to prevent axial or radial loads on the slip ring rotor.

  Protect the slip ring from dust and moisture. Outdoor use requires protective measures (except for specially customized slip rings).

  Secure all leads to prevent friction and damage. Exercise caution during wiring and lead fixation to avoid subjecting the slip ring to lateral loads.

  When stripping wire ends, take care not to damage the shielding layer.

  Weight Limit: Slip rings are not designed to bear loads; they must not support the weight of connected equipment.Ensure wires remain free of additional tension or weight loads to prevent structural damage.

  Wire Protection: Maintain wire integrity during installation. Insulation damage is strictly prohibited to prevent electrical performance degradation or failures caused by insulation failure.

  Connection Requirements: Use flexible connections instead of rigid ones between the rotor and stator sides. This reduces mechanical stress on the slip ring, ensuring long-term stable operation and extending service life.

  Screw Retention: All fastening screws must be secured using locking measures (e.g., installing lock washers, applying threadlocking adhesive). This prevents vibration or impact during operation from loosening or dislodging screws, ensuring structural integrity.
